The role will be home based with an expectation that some work will take place at our Centre of Engagement in Central London and other satellite offices in the Greater London Authority area. This is a full time (37.5 hrs per week) contract to June 2023.
Mencap are recruiting a Programme Coordinator to work within the Lifestyles & Work Employ Me team. Employ Me is Mencap's model for supported employment. We are really excited to be recruiting to this role which will manage a fantastic new programme of work which we have recently been successful in securing.
The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of Caseworkers and Job Coaches to support delivery of the Employ Me Greater London Authority (GLA) European Social Fund (ESF) programme in London. This programme aims to support NEET (Not in Education, Employment, Training) SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) young people who have learning difficulties, disabilities and autism to access sustained employment, education and training.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering sustainable outcomes for young people and who can develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders. Over the duration of the project Mencap are will be working and supporting over 200 young people, so this gives us a real chance to make a difference and change lives!
This role will have particular responsibility for ensuring successful delivery of the ESF project and that all teams are meeting the requirements set out by the GLA and ESF.
You will have experience of managing supported employment provision for young people, have proven leadership skills that will ensure teams deliver high quality provision, meeting targets and achieving high quality sustainable outcomes for young people.
You will be responsible for ensuring project budgets are on track, outcomes are delivered and the overall outcomes and outputs of the programme are delivered on time.
You will have proven relationship management skills that lead to excellent stakeholder relationships that add value to programme delivery and outcomes for young people.
