This key animal nutrition business, part of a major worldwide international group of food companies and prominent in the Australian and New Zealand animal feed markets, manufactures and sells animal feeds and nutrition solutions for commercial poultry, pig and ruminant animals.

Building on an already strong position and striving to develop a world-class business in Australia, a new leadership role of National Procurement & Technical Business Manager – Animal Nutrition, reporting to the Business Director, has been created.

This senior management role will involve optimising commercial value from ingredient procurement, product formulation and feed production whilst sustaining and developing major customer relationships.

Your comprehensive industry knowledge and experience in the areas of:

• Commercial production systems
• Raw material procurement
• Product formulation
• Production processes
• Legislative & quality standards compliance
• Customer relationships

will enable you to succeed in achieving the volume, revenue and profit targets of the business.

As a key-influencing member of the national management team, you will be closely involved with strategy development to grow the business, focussing on best practice and innovation. As the enthusiastic leader of the specialist animal nutrition team, you will be developing a high performance culture to provide technical input into ingredient procurement, diet formulation and service activities across the Australian animal nutrition business, with extension also to New Zealand.

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Tertiary qualifications in animal science/ nutrition
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
• Minimum 3 years managing staff
• Highly developed communication skills
• Inspirational and collaborative team leadership skills
• Strong commercial drive and presence

You will have the skills to balance the challenges of meeting customer expectations for delivery of value in superior nutritional performance and cost, and for capturing value to the business from the provision of ingredient procurement and nutrition formulation services.

You may currently be utilising your commercial procurement and technical function skills and are now ready to ‘step up’ to a senior management position to make an impact on the business. Suitably qualified or experienced overseas applicants are also encouraged to apply.
