My client is a prominent NSW State Government Department based in the heart of Parramatta. Currently they have an opportunity for two experienced Return to Work Coordinator / Injury Management Coordinators to fill temporary assignments commencing immediately. Working to support two large client groups, your key focus in this role will be processing and management of injury and other OH & S cases.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
· Processing workers compensation claims
· Provide and manage return to work plans for employees who have sustained an injury or illness
· Achieving a safe and timely return to work plan in accordance with statutory requirements and injury management policies and procedures.
· Liaison with all relevant stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor return to work plans and ensure
· Developing coordinated case management approaches
· Provide specialist information, advice and support to business managers, supervisors and staff in relation to workers compensation and rehabilitation programs
· Maintain confidential records and files in accordance with the injury management policies and legislative requirements
· Process and check calculations of loss of wages and make up pays relating to workers compensation entitlements and seek wage reimbursements from the Insurer

To be successful for this role we require someone with the following skills and experience:
· .A sound knowledge of the NSW Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act
· Demonstrated experience in the administration and management of workers compensation claims and rehabilitation
· Government or Public Sector experience essential
· Return to Work Coordinator accreditation as required by WorkCover
· High level interpersonal, negotiation, mediation, consultation and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team
· Sound knowledge of and capacity to implement the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO); ethical practice; ethnic affairs priority statements (EAPS); and occupational health and safety (OH&S)
